Lubuntu is an “official” flavor of Ubuntu that uses the lighter LXQt window manager instead of Gnome 3 which can be found in the main Ubuntu release. Once you’ve created your bootable volume you’ll need to change your PC’s boot sequence or boot your Mac from an external drive to jump into Linux.
